THE INVISIBLE WOMAN WELCOMES YOU!

My name is LuAnn and I live in rural Kentucky with my husband, Chris, and our children (Brian 8, Benjamin 7 and Trinity 2). We also have a dog, Gabby, who just became a mama herself to TEN puppies! I'm working on getting some pictures on the site here.

So why "Invisible Women"? I found a book called "An Invisible Woman: When Only God Sees" by Nicole Johnson, in a bookstore in Lexington. It expressed exactly how I felt. Underappreciated. Like...didn't I matter as an individual...wasn't I more than the sum total of my "parts": cook, laundress, teacher, housemaid, transcriptionist? This are all things I do or have done. But they are not WHO I AM.

One of the points in Ms. Johnson's book was that we should help these hidden gems become "illuminated" and therefore feel appreciated. Hence the Invisible Women website came to be born.
